The Story Behind Net Profits Consulting
Before Net Profits was a consulting brand, it was survival — keeping a soul food restaurant alive, serving the community, and learning in real time how money actually moves in a small business.
I started like most owners: doing everything. Ordering, cooking, scheduling, payroll, dealing with vendors, and trying to keep the lights on. We had customers and lines — but the numbers weren’t always telling the same story as the dining room.
That tension — between what the hustle feels like and what the books say — is what pushed me deeper into accounting, tax, operations, and eventually my MBA. Net Profits Consulting is how I help other owners skip years of pain and build systems that respect both their grind and their goals.

- Profit shouldn’t be a mystery. Owners deserve a simple, honest view of what’s really happening.
- Family businesses and Black entrepreneurs carry extra weight. The systems should lighten that, not add to it.
- Foodpreneurs need more than recipes. They need menu costing, delivery math, and cash-flow guardrails.
- Burnout isn’t a badge. “No Business Fatigue” is the standard I want for every client.
- Technology is a servant, not the boss. Tools should support your workflow, not run your life.
